What a letter should do in placement season
Keep it short, specific to the role or company, and tied to evidence already on your resume. Generic paragraphs trained from examples add noise. When we ship templates here, they will bias toward clarity and falsifiable claims, not filler.
Why the resume still comes first
Most campus shortlists are still driven by resume screens and form fields. A letter does not rescue a broken layout or missing keywords. Harden the resume first, then add a letter only where the process asks for it.
