ResumeGrade

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 1, 2025

These terms govern your access to and use of ResumeGrade. By using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. If you are using ResumeGrade on behalf of an institution, you are agreeing to these terms on that institution's behalf.

Please read these terms before you use the platform. If anything is unclear, contact us before proceeding.

What ResumeGrade is

ResumeGrade is a resume evaluation and placement readiness platform for students and universities. It analyses uploaded resumes, generates scores and feedback, and provides institutional placement teams with batch analytics and risk signals.

The platform is offered as a web application with two primary surfaces: a student portal where individuals can upload resumes and view feedback, and a university portal where placement officers can track cohort readiness and identify students who may need support.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use ResumeGrade. If you are accessing the platform as a student, you must have been registered by your institution's placement office. If you are accessing as a placement officer or administrator, you must be authorised to do so by your institution.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign in credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should contact us immediately at support@resumegrade.ai.

Accounts are not transferable. You may not share your login or allow others to access the platform through your account.

Use of the platform

You may use ResumeGrade for its intended purpose: to evaluate and improve resume quality and to support placement outcomes. You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is false, defamatory, or infringes on another person's rights
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform beyond what is available through normal use
  • Use the platform in a way that would harm its availability or performance for others
  • Attempt to access data belonging to another student or institution without authorisation
  • Use any output from ResumeGrade to make final employment or admission decisions without human review

Resume content and accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the resume content you upload. ResumeGrade analyses what is present in the document and generates feedback based on that content. Our scoring and feedback is designed to help students improve their presentation, not to verify claims made in a resume.

The platform will not add achievements, numbers, or claims that are not present in the original resume. Feedback and rewrite suggestions rephrase and restructure existing content rather than fabricating new content.

Scores and readiness assessments are informational and should be used as one input among many when advising students or making placement decisions. ResumeGrade does not guarantee specific placement outcomes.

Institutional agreements

Universities and institutions access ResumeGrade under a separate institutional agreement that covers pricing, data handling, and pilot terms. These terms of service apply in addition to that agreement. Where there is a conflict, the institutional agreement takes precedence on matters covered therein.

Intellectual property

ResumeGrade and its underlying technology, design, and content belong to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the resume content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process and analyse that content for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

Service availability

We aim to keep ResumeGrade available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the platform offline for maintenance or updates and will aim to give notice where possible.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any account that violates these terms, or to discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

ResumeGrade is provided as a tool to support placement processes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of platform output, for loss of data, or for any indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.

Our total liability to you in any calendar year will not exceed the amount paid by your institution for access to the platform in that year. For students using a free tier, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users by email or through a notice within the platform. Continued use of ResumeGrade after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of ResumeGrade will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India, unless your institutional agreement specifies otherwise.
